Richard L. Strohm focuses his practice primarily in the areas of personal injury and wrongful death, professional malpractice, civil rights, business law, and alternative dispute resolution. He has over 34 years of experience as a trial lawyer, including having served as lead counsel in over 50 jury trials in the state and federal courts of Arizona and Colorado.
Rick has received an "AV" rating from Martindale Hubbell, the national directory of lawyers. This is the highest possible peer rating an attorney can receive, indicating preeminent legal ability and the utmost ethical standards. He has also been listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers since 2000.
Rick is the author of numerous legal publications including: Your Rights in the Workplace: An Employee's Guide to Legal Protection; Divorce and Child Custody: Your Options and Legal Rights (co-author); and Solving Your Financial Problems. He is a former professor of criminal law and criminal procedure and has lectured widely, including before the Arizona State Bar, the National College of District Attorneys, the Maricopa County Bar, and Professional Education Systems, Inc. (PESI).
Rick earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University. He has been licensed to practice law in Arizona since 1976.
When he is not practicing law, Rick is an actor, and a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Theatre Artists Studio of Phoenix. He also regularly competes in triathlons throughout the United States.
